The world of ice in the distand north
Is a very mysterious place.
Among it’s fog and inside it’s ice,
The seed of life is burried.
Into a stream of water,
When the heat of Muspel turn the ice of Nifel
The creation begins to take place.
Even though the frozen water of Nifel
Contains a spark of life,
This is first of all a place of death
And the world fear the lethal strength of the icegiants
Who were born here in the beginning of time.
Was thinking today how human mentality changing over the years. Are we really so different than our ancestors hundred or thousand years ago? I’ve got that modern Viking feeling. Very intense. I wonder if sharp, cold, north wind made Scandinavian people to go on a viking, ages ago and the same way I’ve gone far away from my homeland? To discover the unknown and to take what’s the best from other cultures? And for that I love them the most. Not for being great warriors, famous poets, tradesmen who controlled the silver flow from Middle East to Scandinavia or warlords who conquered half of England or founded first Russian state. I love them for flexibility and ability to adapt. We still have got so much in common after all…
